MUJI

Founded in 1980, MUJI’s mission was to create simple, low-cost, good quality products. The company’s goal is to give customers a rational satisfaction, expressed not with, “This is what I really want” but with “This will do” that expresses conciliatory reasoning. MUJI’s products, born from an extremely rational manufacturing process, are succinct, but they are not in the minimalist style. Simplicity and emptiness yield the ultimate universality, embraces the feelings and thoughts of all people.

MUJI’s landlord completely gutted the property and updated the façade of the building with a new and modern look. Sargenti partnered with MUJI and provided architectural, MEP, structural and construction administration services. The new design leaves MUJI’s store with a unique signature for the brand, which is both striking and relevant. The concept is simple, bold, curated and distinctive, allowing for a more inspiring and immersive retail experience. Sargenti took the project from construction document phase to completion of construction.
